Calling all Clubs, Schools and Organisations. Turn up for the Ennis Turkey Trot and make money for your particular club, with a total Prize Pot of €1000
This year’s annual ENNIS TURKEY TROT will take place on DEC 26th 2009, and Mayor of Ennis, Frankie Neylon is encouraging all Ennis residents to take to the fresh air on St Stephen’s Day to shed some of the Xmas Day excesses, for a very worthy cause, namely the RNLI

Launching the 2009 ENNIS TURKEY TROT on DEC 26th in aid of RNLI were Niamh Mc Dermott and Dimuth Jayasinghe of Mc Donald's Ennis, Mayor of Ennis FRANKIE NEYLON, JOE QUEALLY of Clare RNLI, along with RONALD and his little helpers, SHONAGH and SAIBH
This year’s event, organised by Ennis Town Council in association with Marian Athletic Club, will be sponsored for the 1st time by McDonald’s Clare, Ennis and Shannon. Registration is free and All donations on the day will go directly to the local branch of the RNLI.
Here’s how it works.
- Get as many people as you can to be at Waterpark Hse for 11.45am
- Register before 12 noon, nominating your chosen group/organisation
- Complete the course.
- There will be a prize total of €1000 on the day.
Prizes will be awarded for the Top 3 finishers in both mens and ladies races. Also for the 1st time this year, category prizes will be awarded for boys and girls u-10 and boys and girls u-14.
