Ceád Míle Fáilte in Shannon

McDonald’s Shannon were recently recognised for their friendliness and warm hospitality when they were awarded a Failte Ireland Welcome Award for the Mid West Region.

This is the 5th year of the Failte Ireland Welcome awards, which encourage visitors to nominate people who have made their stay in Ireland more enjoyable. This is the first time that someone from the quick service restaurant industry in Ireland has received such an award.

An American couple nominated the staff at McDonald’s Shannon after they helped them locate their digital camera. The tourists from St. Petersburg inadvertently travelled to Shannon without their much-loved camera and the staff at McDonald’s Shannon made a huge effort to re-unite them with their camera, and ensured that they had a holiday to remember.
